Romans 12:10 states: Be devoted to one another in
brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. These ideas are expressed
through two major stories. The first is humorously titled Baby Sitter in
De-Nile, which recounts the story of Moses as a baby. The second story, the main
feature, is Duke and the Great Pie War, which revisits the Bible tale of Ruth
and Naomi by utilizing a duke named Duke, and showing his love for Sweet Princess Petunia.

On the Farm with Farmer Bob: Cockadoodle Doo the Right Thing
It doesn't take long to realize that On the Farm with Farmer Bob is not just
any ol' farm. All the animals are uproariously funny, and the results are highly
entertaining and eternally valuable. Children will learn important life lessons such as
conflict resolution, valuing others and doing the right thing, even when no one is
looking. With faith messages based on the Parables, kids will learn and understand
biblical principles. Ol' MacDonald never had this much fun!
A special guest has been invited to the farm. Jenny (voice of Amy Grant) is put in
charge of cleaning up and receives the cooperation of everyone, except Hercules (Vince
Gill). In addition to not helping, Hercules mistakes the special guest for someone
unimportant and treats him poorly. Meanwhile Sam finds $20 and spends it without finding
out to whom it belongs. This episode is full of lessons including behaving well even when
nobody is watching, and the biblical lessons from the Parables of the Pharisee and the Tax
Collector.

The
Beginner's Bible: The Story of Easter
Featuring an original theme sung by Kathie Lee Gifford, memorable songs,
vivid animation and heartwarming characters, this series is a delightful way to introduce
young children to the timeless stories of inspiration, courage and faith. Recommended for
ages 3-7. Experience the wonder of the fulfillment of Godís promise to his chosen people
as Jesus ascends into heaven in the glorious miracle of the Resurrection.

No More Baths
This 94 min FFF movie answers 10-year-old Keagan's question, "Am I my brother's
keeper?" Set in a small Colorado town, the story has young
children cutting through the property of a local eccentric named Jake each day on their
way to school. Jake welcomes them with open arms, and they often spend afternoons playing
there.
But when a couple of kids receive minor injuries in separate accidents on Jake's
property, a local real-estate tycoon decides to force Jake out so he can develop the land.
This prompts the kids to protest, following the example of "peaceful resistance"
demonstrated by Martin Luther King, which they are studying in school.

A green nose. How silly, thought Punchinello. It
wouldn't make him faster, stronger, or even smarter. It would only make him greener--and
make him look just like all the other Wemmicks! Why would he want that when he knows Eli
made each of them different for a reason?

When the famous Bess Stovall arrives in Wemmicksville, everyone wants to be in her
club. But Punchinello can't because he is made of the wrong wood. Eli the woodcarver helps
Punchinello see that he is special because Eli made him. We don't have to be like famous
people to be special. God made us just the way we are--on purpose.

Just the Way You Are
Teach your youngsters about love and acceptance with this beautifully illustrated
re-release of the bestseller Children of the King. The story of a compassionate king who
adopts five orphaned children reinforces the truth that God wants us for no other reason
than he loves us---we don't need to impress God to earn a place in his heart.

All You Ever Need
When the Watermaster entrusts his
servant Elzevir to freely supply his people with water, Elzevir accepts the task joyfully.
Soon he begins to withhold water from all except those who are "worthy." But
when the son of the Watermaster arrives---everything changes.

Because I Love You
Wise Shaddai loves his children
so much that he surrounds their village with a wall to protect them from the deadly
wilderness. But when curious little Paladin finds a hole in the wall, he ignores Shaddai's
warnings and sneaks outside!

With You All the Way
Once upon a time three brave knights journeyed through
the sinister Hemlock Forest, guided toward the castle---and the beautiful princess---by
the music of the king's flute. Max Lucado offers a tale about a medieval kingdom, a story
that encourages your children to hold fast to God's truth amid the world's confusing
messages.

You are Special
Punchinello is a chipped, ugly puppet who thinks he's not worth much; that is,
until Eli the Woodcarver helps him understand how special he is---marks and all.
Originally published in Tell Me the Secrets, this delightfully illustrated tale shows your
kids that no matter how the world evaluates them, God loves them just as they are.

Angels and Me

by Carolyn Nystrom
What do angels look like? Do they really have wings and white robes? Children ask a lot
of questions about angels, and adults give a lot of answers -- but not always scriptural
ones! Unfortunately, your child may retain those misconceptions about God's messengers for
years.
This carefully worded book gives your child straight, biblical answers about who angels
are and what they do. The brightly colored illustrations complement the simple text to
make Angels and Me the perfect book to read aloud as you begin to explain
hard-to-understand Bible concepts to your child.

To
bring our children to a relationship with Jesus Christ and to membership in His family.
To develop them to a Christ-like maturity.

A Note to Parents
Please visit the library with your children and
help them select books that are suitable to the reading level. Sometimes the book's
cover is very enticing but the reading level is way too high. Below you'll find some
tips to share with your children about finding just the right books.
Please help your children care for their library books and bring
them back. Read through the "How
Your Library Work" page with your kids so they can use the library well.
Assigning a special shelf or space in the house for the church library books might be
helpful
( it works for us :-)
Makes it easy to pick them up on the way out the door Sunday morning.
You might want to select a book to read to your children.
There are lots of older titles ( Danny Orlis, for example ) which have older covers so
that your child might not pick them for their own independent reading. They are
still great adventure stories.
Our prayer is that this library will be blessing to your family.

Why
Christian Literature?
The function of a good book is to stand like a signpost directing the
reader toward the Truth and the Life ... the work of a good book is to incite the reader
to moral action, to turn his eyes toward God and urge him forward.
